Probably a toss up with Jimmy Wilde for greatest fighter Wales has produced... i wouldnt argue either way......still doesnt mean Calzaghe never avoided fighting the best of his era at their best though. He never avoided anyone, Frank Warren was never fancied taking his fighter over the pond, it was purely financial, it's not like he was getting called out. Who did he avoid then? Roy Jones was just as bad too yet he beat some good fighters. Joe's work rate would have troubled any fighter of that era.
