gnasher16 30,437
After seeing his first couple of pro fights i knew Khan would go a long way its a long time since id seen such hand and foot speed,i dont think ive ever seen a British fighter deal with southpaws so easy he still takes that amateurish big step to get his front foot on the outside but as long as he lets his shots go he gets away with it,its when he gets caught in no mans land he,s vulnerable.....i think if he threw caution to the wind and didnt engage Mayweather in tactical mind games he would have a very good chance of overwhelming him early on and forcing a stoppage......a better chance than most anyway...........but i totally agree if it went past 4 or 5 rounds theres nobody better than Mayweather in my opinion at reading a fight and making small adjustments and you could see him pulling Khan into mistakes in a distance fight. MickC 1,825
I like Pacman more than Mayweather but the fight should have happened 4-5 years ago and even then Mayweather has too much of a size advantage over him. Just look at how easy Mayweather dealt with Marquez and Pacman struggled badly with him everytime. I know Paman beat Hatton and Del la Hoya more convincingly than Mayweather but he used the blueprint from watching Mayweather beat them first. gnasher16 30,437
Personally i think Pacquiao is made for Mayweather stylistically......today or yesteryear. Edited December 22, 2014 by gnasher16
dogmad riley 1,347
Personally i think Pacquiao is made for Mayweather stylistically......today or yesteryear. One fight id struggle to pick a winner, Pac man to win in the early rounds due to his raw power and aggression. If it goes past 4/5 rounds mayweather would win comfortably. I remember watching khan fight an Australian lad at the start of his carreer it went 12 rounds and I said to my wife he is one to watch theres a future world champion I had never seen such a balanced fighter his hand speed and feet were bang on ...I lost a bit of respect for him after he fought Barrera who was way past his best and Khan got a bit of an ego...but he was still young and he seems to have matured now ....I think that Mayweather is avoiding Khan as that will be twice he has scheduled fights around Rhamadan which says a lot to me ....like ive said Khan is still not peaked and Mayweather is past his best so its a good time to fight him .....I have watched the Hatton Mayweather fight more than any other fight and imo if it wasnt for the ref Joe Cortez I think Ricky would have beaten him in the early rounds but thats another arguement
saluki bulls 118
No doubt that mayweather is a quality fighter and up there with the greats of all time. But a lot of fights I have seen him in he gets a lot of help from referees when he is put under real pressure. he is a millionaire with a massive reputation in Vegas and I think referees give him a lot of protection when the goin gets tough. That's just my opinion.
DogFox123 1,379
I think both Pacquio and Khan have a real shot at beating Mayweather, his legs have gone IMO. Of course he will avoid them like the plague and cherry pick an opponent. One of the greatest of all time?? Pleeeease, he hasn't even fought the best of his era let, great fighter but he's too concerned with keeping that 0. I wouldnt put him in any all time great list but he is without doubt the greatest fighter of his generation.......if not then who is ? Well he's dodged Pacquio for years so how can you call yourself the best? He has the talent but he's not willing to risk losing his 0.

Wouldn't let Ricky fight inside! Kept calling break! Couple of months later Calzaghe v Hopkins. Was only to happy to let them fight inside, when the yank wasn't the boxer!!! Its funny,Calzaghe did that all his career and we loved him for it ........Nobody could say for 100% who the better of any 2 fighters are until they meet....but as far as Mayweather/Pacquiao go,s i know who my money would be on.
