The Sad State Of British Television

Recommended Posts

Cant believe that on prime time television tonight we have Mary Berrys absolute Xmas favourites.

Years ago all cooking and baking programmes would be on in an afternoon slot,

Why don't these people just retire, her face appears to be everywhere, then we have the British sew in,, Strictly come dancing, Xfactor, and that horrible pair Ant and Deck

who should be dropped by helicopter into a real jungle, and with a bit of luck never to be seen again.

rant over.

Dont watch no tv to be honest when it gets turned on there is f**k all on. Ends up just on the news channel while having our dinner and we all moan n debate about whatever's on that. Download whole tv series and any movies and have Apple TV so can watch it on the TV rather than a small computer screen. Although computer screen won't be small for a computer, old mans just ordered a 27inch iMac 5k retina display. God knows why he only plays poker but i bet my porns gonna look great lol.

I read somewhere last week that 65% of all tv over the xmas will be repetes... Shocking!

Then couple that with the shite films they feed us and its gonna be piss poor viewing. I dont even mind the Christmasy type films but there are some great movies made yet they always feed us the same safe slop!!

Amazon prime entitles me to free stuff on love films and netflix means don't have to pay licence fee,so don't watch mainstream TV anyway, just watched 2 series of Vikings now starting lost just watched season 1of that,an started season 2 last night.

Means I'm watching what I want, not fodder or having it on for background noise.

FDR, have you seen The Leftovers? The first season ended a month or so back, it's a bit like Lost, hopefully they don't drag it out though.

I pretty much only watch catch up TV. I still watch a lot of crap but it's a guilty pleasure thing, LOL.

It does seen crap these days. .I watch a lot of sport on tv and catch the odd film the kids are watching...I just think we are spoilt for choice with so many channels I always miss the good documentaries etc. Can remember as a kid we always had radio times at Xmas so we could plan what we was watching everyday lol...its just not the same anymore .
