Who Owns The Land?

Evening again guys,sorry to be a pain. I have quite abit of land around where I am that has good numbers of our furry "friends" but I'm having a real mission finding out who owns the land,I mean there are houses everywhere but they are residential areas that surround the land, how do I find out who owns it?

Local pub,shop,post office or ask local busybody failing that poach it and wait to see who shouts at you"GER OFF ME LAND"

land registry will give you all the details, costs around £6

what patterdale said thats actually how i got one of my permissions, i couldn't find a land owner and believe me i tried. so went ahead ferreting and within 5 mins the guy was on top of us. once he seen we weren't up to no good he was delighted to have us. funny how things work out sometimes,

Exactly the same happened to me norseman, that's how I got my best permission. If you do poach it can pay to be polite if you get caught

The police would probably only attend if the landowner calls them. Ive often had the police pass me on my way home when Ive got a dozen or so rabbits on me (sometimes from permission sometimes not) and they've never once stopped to ask me where Ive been ferreting.

Don't know for sure but I think it's highly likely to be the latter; after all it's dead easy to prove you do have permission (assuming you do, of course!), whereas it's much harder for them to prove you don't.

I've actually been stopped by old bill on permission, shown them permission letter and they even phoned farmer and woke him up just to check? KNOBHEADS.
