I had a white lurcher 30 year ago, colour didn't seem to effect her catching ability

Ahh chocolate, its this ( last and next) seasons 'must have'..

 

Sadly, i can remember when it wasnt so popular and had the name 'liver'!

same here think it was the putty noses didn't work as well as the black ones :laugh:

I agree Brenner. I've heard all the arguments as to how it makes no difference what colour your hound is but I STILL say that a white dog on open heath or fields is way more likely to be noticed than any other colour.

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Same here dont like to much white,Back in the day foxs that hadnt noticed you and were wondering down hedge towards you would spot a white dog very fast,after all thats why rabbits deer ect have white tails.

Not much in this game looks worse, when pulled by the plod, than a white dog with a bad ear rip...!

Stings like hell too,and if it was breezy and blew in your eyes trip to hospital,if you could see your way out of field. :laugh:

Also had a lakie type terrier once for bushing,Can remember a few times walking for hours,Just when you and dogs have given up,terrier goes into a bit of cover,then starts coming back out,by the time i or dogs relished it wasn't the terrier coming out,mr fox had the split seconds he needed.That dog was a bad color.
