Poacherspocket 189
My collie kelpie x is from daves old lines going back to purdey and many of his other dogs. Really well mannered and behaved dog but not the greatest. Its took some real perseverance to get him catching bunnies but hes got there in the end. Think the kelpie adds a lot of drive into them. Neal 1,866
They may both have the word "Australian" in their names but they're quite different dogs. 1 Quote Link to post

2.8 guy 403
There was a guy on here a while ago who said he had imported a ACD pup out of working lines to breed from at a later date.. And when I saw the greyhound at stud thread by max hardcore he sprang to mind. The acd x is a tough old bus and if they suit the land you hunt there second to none, mine worked in the harshest of lands for 9 years and only suffered one broken toe in half x percentage 2 Quote Link to post

3175darren 1,100
I have a cattle dog x and really like it, a real handy little dog Strong build as said before takes a knock well, very intense little dog when working, not the fastest dog but will work all night, and takes rabbits well,it's redhot on rats it will flush pheasants any where,I am no expert on lurchers, my experience is with labs and spaniels, but I will have another, the dogs are a good addition to my kennel, great little dog, http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k534/Darrenj8/AC6656C0-9D31-4365-967D-EF04237C211C-1156-00000157818C2A9C.jpg He likes duck shooting too http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k534/Darrenj8/95C9E610-0914-4A09-BE15-D7C1B584009B-570-000000BCDE1A646A_zpsd9d97e75.jpg 2 Quote Link to post
Neal 1,866
There's a photo of my oldest in my avatar, though he's a pure kelpie as opposed to a lurcher. He looks even older now though... I think that photo is about seven years old...he's just hanging on at fifteen but can still manage the occasional bimble around the wood. I have a tiny seven year old bitch too and a ten month old pup. I have high hopes for him but it's early days yet. Quote Link to post
