downsview 448
Been reading a few threds in this long netting forum ,just wondering what the most common or best way of working nets is,is it best done alone or is 2 or even 3 in a team better, not thinking of the social side here just practicalities.I have noticed rabbits aren't as common as they once were jmo in a lot of areas,so is long netting even worth the initial financial layout and frustration. Tiercel 6,986
There is no right or wrong way, it really depends on your disposition. I prefer going out alone, so consequently catch less rabbits as I cannot work the same amount of net that two can. But as most of the long netters on here will tell you It is not all about catching rabbits. TC 3 Quote Link to post
terryd 8,573
Long netting can be very efficient and you can do a lot with even a little 25 yarder traditional put in the right place and a few free hazel pegs so not massive outlay. You don't have to have a place heaving with rabbits either if your happy for just one or two rabbits at the end of the night. There is so much more too it than catching rabbits as well. Strolling around in the dark with a net in your pocket and maybe a rabbit or two to take home with every one being completely unaware of your presence is quite a feeling 7 Quote Link to post
