VALLEY HOUNDS 43
We take our hounds around to the shoots end of season or whenever needed, a local pack to me was charging £40 day ,they asked us if we could do it, and couldnt beleave we done it for free ,had some very successful days and was given a free day on the pheasants , personally i would never charge 6 Quote Link to post

Alimac2 321
£300 plus for a registered gun pack day on shoots up here, 400 for 2 days, 500 for 3 days & that's with a pack very much below par Quote Link to post
Bobo 135
Can't comment on big packs but we run a handful of beagles as a little gun pack and do it for the love of it and to see/work different bits of land. 1 Quote Link to post
huntingnightowl 13
Same here bobo. .....big old wood mind.....lol Quote Link to post
the goat 642
Never knew packs charged...would of thought they'd be happy to do it on a by day or something and be happy to get a new bit of land. Farmers have tried giving us money quite a lot in 1 area, seems the arseholes who were on the land before us were charging per head and then lying to them to get more £££ when they were on they're arse, also on this site hope you read this. Disgraceful :) 1 Quote Link to post
ands 544
The cost of running a pack for a year must be huge though? Quote Link to post
Alimac2 321
The pack I'm on about, doesn't go "hunting" there there to flush foxes to guns on big Scottish estates. I'd say over 50% are shot before a single hound has spoken, just being moved from the guns getting into place. Some days 60 or 70 of the fuckers.. It's not about hunting this far north it's all about quick efficient control.. Hence why he won't do it for free, well that and the fact he's a grippy cu nt , haha Quote Link to post
socks 32,253
You shoot 70 foxes in one day ??? ........ 1 Quote Link to post
BIGLURKS 874
The cost of running a pack for a year must be huge though?fuel feed and time and housing 30/40 dogs won't be cheap Quote Link to post
bobajob 56
Cheers.. i know it was done with hounds before 3 days at a very steep price and they didnt do a very good job..hence tbe reason the cheaper the better of even free. Quote Link to post
