Maximus Ferret 2,063
Does any body feed there dogs chicken necks and if so what they Like for the dog thinking of trying the dogs on them any advice appreciated cheers?? I get a 10 kilo box for a fiver but I used to work chicken catching so I think I get good rates. The legs are good too. I feed a handfull or two, depending on the size of the dog, with a leg or a lump of rabbit carcase etc. etc. and some meal, stale bread, boiled rice, ....whatevers left over in the kitchen. They seem to do OK on it.

Maximus Ferret 2,063
I think they used to put hormone pellets in the neck to caponize them but I'm fairly sure they don't anymore. We used to put them in the sheds as day olds and they weren't touched again 'til catching time. As for the teeth, mine all have sparkling white teeth .

I work for a firm that kills 2.5 million chicken, Turkey and ducks per week, I can tell you 100 percent that "somebody" is talking shite. The neck along as the rest of the carcass contains nothing that we will harm you or the mutts providing its been handled correctly, same as any other proteins.
