my 13 month old pup killed his first hare single handed this evening on quite big land, hare's are not the quarry i intend to use the dog for, but i'm more than happy with the way he ran it, it would'nt have suprised me if it had been ran before,it looked like it new the score, but hey, that might be just me thinking shit. the area is well known for holding a few hares during the season and most lads in the area walk it, he's still a pup in many ways, floppy on his legs and only just finding his feet, so the lad done well! fingers crossed he carrys this forward, i'm sure this will have boosted his confidence, as it has mine!

Well done mate, I'm hoping to get a hare or two with my dog this season. She's three years old and has only seen rabbits so far, but hopefully that will change. There's not many hares about my area so it looks like I will need to do a bit of travelling. A guy I met through my work has some land in Lanarkshire that apparently has loads of them. He shoots them, but will let me try the dog on them.

Hows your dog bred?
