It was your dog to do what ever you thought was right by the dog,BUT you say the dog lost interest and imo you also lost interest in the dog,like to say a 17 month old terrier was not marking is stupid as at that age its just a big pup with no experience.Hope you find 1 that does what you want. 1 Quote Link to post

Only joking, fair play, when you've given it every chance, never asked too much of a youngster and been patient as you have then you can, with full honesty tell yourself it wasn't you. The youngster just wasn't up to it and that happens no matter how well they're bred. When it happens me I start to look forward to rearing and bringing on the next one. Qbgrey 4,185 Posted January 5, 2015 Report Share Posted January 5, 2015 its a nightmare situation,sets you back.we can all say keep it on,try again,but we not seen the dog,i believe an owner can see what the crack is,instinct kicks in.i had a lurcher from 8 weeks and at 1 yr old never tried on fox,i had a feeling that it would nt take em,dont know what is was just gut feeling,well it did nt,tried everthing,keep t it on for 2 yrs or more then got shot.2yrs wasted.plus another year and half bringing on another dog.3.5yrs down the drain Quote Link to post
