New Pens. Best Way To Keep Them Warm

I've just built some new pens.hats the best bedding to use.i can get shredded paper till it comes out my ears but I'm told from a reliable source that it's not to clever.what els is there I can use.i normally use a quilt but it's getting a bit costly now seems that I'm buying g a new one every month. Cheers guys

Use double chopped straw .... Or bliss bedding I think you call it

i use vetbed in mine. nice thick fleece with a rubberised backing. easy to wash and dry. cheap enough on fleabay. i've tried carpet, barrier mat and even crash mats but the git chews everything else up.

JMHO but I can never see how carpet could be as warm or comfortable as a few inches of good straw.

To me carpet suits owners, not dogs.

Good healthy dogs in good kennels will be 100% satisfied on straw.

Carpet on the floor with a flap nailed over the door and enough straw for the dog to really dig down into

get a few woolen blankets from charity shops,my dogs love them,wrap them selfs up in them,soon as there done with,dump them, and buy some more cheap as chips.
