Gypsy Slip From The Gaffer On Here

Recommended Posts

just received a nice bit of hand crafted leather from the gaffer on here. after a post about slip leads on here and a picture put up by another member, the gaffer offered to make some of these. i ordered one and also a half choke collar for my staff.

got em this morning and well pleased with what i have. cracking leather, well finished and well worth the money. the gyspsy slip in particular is a work of art.

for anything you need making i'd message the gaffer and see what he can do for you.

real nice supple leather

Don't get yer knickers in a twist Davina ?

They certainly look well made and a tad comfier to use than a piece of poxy rope! Lol, and as someone pointed out earlier, your hands won't get any gyp should you have a keen un about to be slipped

the collar's attached to the main part of the lead by a brass ring and slides up between 2 strips of leather. the loose end slips through the other d ring on the end of the collar. tightens or loosens to fit any neck size ( though the collar would probably need to be shorter for a dog of less than 26"). wrist through the hand loop, hold the loose end in the same hand. let go of the loose end and the dog's off.
