Barrel Chopping

I am thinking about having 3 or 4 inches taken off the 10/22 can anyone recommend somebody near or within a hours drive of Bristol

 

The guy above is just off the M4 but i don't know if he's more or less than an hour from you. RG7 2AG.

 

 

Ferrari, middle of the night, no traffic, roadworks or police and you have a chance in an hour! :laugh::thumbs:

 

Joking aside, it has to be close to an hour, my guess would be just a few minutes over, but it depends where you start in Bristol of course!

I asked in my local gun shop he said he can do it but advised against it so I'm leaving it for the time being

he did give me a technical reason which I didn't really take in i haven't even tried the gun out yet i will test it over Christmas and see how it performs

you had a good result then what ammo were you getting the best groups with

 

 

I was using Eley subs.

 

 

Neil usually cuts in a match type crown as well, did he do that on yours?

I wouldn't know a match crown if I fell over one, but it does look more pronounced than the factory one. Like a sharper angle. :thumbs:

I know a match crown is called a match crown deker, I was just asking what difference there is, and whats the difference in accuracy? And how much more work is involved to do it and why don't rifles come with a match crown if it makes them more accurate?
