Rez 4,961
Was gonna head up a perm with my lamp this evening... Is it worth it in this weather... It's overcast here in Lincoln. But kinda cold ish... Thoughts before I venture out. Quote Link to post

Rez 4,961
I went and came back with f*ck all. Not a thing about. It's been a while since I went up last and found that the trees are now literally bare. How quickly it happens. However. I did get a cold finger. Missed shooting club too for it... Gutted. Roll on the summer lads. Roll on the summer. Quote Link to post
mattwhite 1,993
Try a spot of decoying for woodies as they will be looking to fill themselves up for the cold snap if you can get out before the light goes. Also i find that steaking out a warren or sitty tree works better in this weather than walked up shooting. Just a thought pal. Atb matt. 2 Quote Link to post
moxy 617
Roll on the summer lads. Roll on the summer. Bollox to that. This is the best time of year for shooting. Early dark nights Plus the rabbits are worth putting in my freezer and not the one for the dogs. No milky does or kits. Quote Link to post

David.evans 5,323
I recon that there's nowt better than holding up 40 yards from a warren , in the pitch black and popping a few off as long as the wind is in the right direction , and the moon is Right , happy days ! (Or should I say nites ) Wrap up warm and a great few hours can be had And on the plus side it's amazing what wid life you see thro the monuclar, And remember to walk the field like a ninja until your in place ! big napper 3,599
staking out the warrens as mattwhite said, that's what ive done the last few times i went out, been getting there just before light and as soon as the sun's out they are sat in it bathing 1 Quote Link to post

Rez 4,961
Get lost all of ya I finish work around half six, so getting up before the last bits of light are an issue, this time of year. And I don't have this SAS night vision shit either. However, I do agree about the sitty tress and and that. Next time, I'll go and come back successful. 1 Quote Link to post
moxy 617
Rez my good man. You don't need night vision. I use the lamp more than my NV. Quote Link to post
