Ricky-N.p.p 0
came home from shooting last night, and fed the ferrets on a crow and three snipe that wee had shot but when i went out to check them this morning the young hob seemed unable to close his mouth properly and had saliva dripping from his chin so i tried to get him o open his mouth wider to see if there was any bone splinters or anything and when i did get a look in there there seemed to be a a grub like shape in the right hand side of his mouth although it looked like a off colored white puss or something so i put him in a separate hutch and rushed indoors to get some cotton buds to see if i could swab out what was in there by the time i got back out he was fine, mouth closed, nothing in mouth and no longer drooling but he was drinking alot of water and continued to do so for a good half hour afterwards anyone ever come across anything like this or know what may have caused it ?? Guest Ditch_Shitter
Sounds like he just caused himself an obstruction, mate. Got something caught. He'd be dribbling because he was temporarily unable to swallow the saliva. Quote Link to post

He's probably had a bone splinter stuck in his mouth. That's the danger of feeding shot stuff. He however seems to be fine now and has cleared it. Lucky you. No vet bill. Quote Link to post

stubby 175
as frank say's, anything given to the ferts, is always frozen first, think this would kill off anything they are carrying Quote Link to post
