Wildling 520
I love my Girlfriend and our children but getting out for the day with just yourself a rifle and the dogs is a feeling all of its own. Plus you don't have to constantly act in a socially accepted manner in front of dogs and don't feel like your being judged.
dogs-n-natives 1,182
I could live alone, but I could not live in a town or city. Country only for me, the more remote the better
bell 3,606
Feck me, I think once you get to a certain age it's easy to live alone......you have sowed your oats, humped anything with a skirt and are not bothered anymore......you then move into the selfish phase of your life where you want to please yourself and are thinking to the future and how long you have on this earth.........no compromises just do what you want to do and have been stopped doing in the part !.........I'm guessing (and I'm not there yet) ....that you then in later life yearn for companionship again........me I could live on my own all day long. Carraghs Gem 1,675
Id love to live alone but cant afford to.. wont move in with my boyfriend, reason we get on so well is because we have our own space away from each other.

walshie 2,804
I've never done it. Moved from my parents to a girlfriends house, back to my parents etc etc till I got married. I am the most undomesticated person ever. If I didn't starve to death, I'd have no clothes to wear out before long.
beast 1,884
i left home at 17 and spent the next 25 years travelling from job to job, sometimes staying a few months sometimes a few years. lived in shared houses at times, moved in (and out !) with a few women, but spent most of the time alone. no tv, just the radio and the dogs. i'm not antisocial, i would still go out with mates from time to time, or chase a bit of skirt, but the freedom to do what i wanted when i wanted, or to work a bit of overtime at the weekend, or spend a couple of days driving round a new bit of the country exploring for my holidays. got married 5 years ago and the wife is ok, but always bothering me to do stuff or moaning about little things. she has given me two beautiful kids, but if it wasnt for the kids i would be happier without her on balance (is that a realy horrible thing to say?!!)
