Rough Haired Whippet

What sort of height are they? There a different looking dog altogether compared to the dog in the old pic.

Height about 23-25", the dog in the first pic I think is a long haired whippet and these ones I photographed are Silkens as you say different breeds.

silkens go about 18" to 23"', they have nothing to do with rough haired whippets, they are bred from normal whippets and borzois. Back in the 60's there was the odd whippet that threw "rough", probably because of the bedlington blood, but selective breeding in the racing whippet has eliminated this trait. They still throw throw the "bull" type fairly regularly in the racing type, but not so much in the show type.

You know what I've never thought of it like that haha it's maybe because I had blinkers on for a whippet and didn't think. I don't want a beddy/whip. What sort of cross do you think would throw that way? Obviously whippet but with what? Beardie collie?
