shell 42 Posted October 27, 2007 Report Share Posted October 27, 2007 Hiya all, Me and Nim (2 yr old daughter) went to see Malc and the hounds off at our opening meet today. Just a couple of pics of the meet, didn't get so far up the fell as Nim wouldn't wear her wellies and I had to carry her. Malc and Nim. We're both so proud of her, she stood about in her wax jacket, flat cap, wellies, for a good half hour, while we mingled etc. She never wittered or moaned. Good as gold. Setting off. 'Daddy up there!' as Nim says! A lesson in nature for Nim on the way back to the car! Me and Nim had a nice couple of hours out. Malc said it went ok for the first meet. Young entry went really well. Looking forward to the rest of the season! Won't be long before Nims carrying the whip with pride! Sorry no pics of actual hounds working! Shell Quote Link to post

Food bill isn't that bad really. They are fed on tripes which Malc collects weekly, and costs £20 a week. Weve got a pack of 12 beagles and they are solely on fox (with the exception of 1 who will go on the occassional hare). They have been flying the past few weeks, the scent has been outstanding and the pace has been unbelievable! Excellent working dog!! Happy hunting! Quote Link to post
