Pemrokeshire Otter Hounds

I looked in the book "A chain of bubbles" by Rod Adair for you.

The Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire Otterhounds button is marked PCOH.

In the chapter on buttons he lists Unidentified Otter Hunt Buttons and for the button POH he says "P O H silver domed one piece button, raised POH in old English on a frosted background. No back mark."

Hope this helps and maybe someone on here could tell you more.

Or a letter in Hounds magazine perhaps ?

I have it in the back of mind that this question has come up before, possibly in Hounds Magazine and I think the answer then was that it was Peter Ormerods Hounds which were a private pack of Staghounds hunting during the early part of the last century.

But only a little bit Briggo, Mr B's answer throws a spanner in the works.

Would a small private pack have it's own buttons ?

Let us know how you get on.

Think i,ve already hit a brick wall, but i,ll keep digging hopefully i,ll get answers and maybe pick up some more buttons etc on the way, cheers.
