Iv got a pair of haix protector pro. Issued by the company I work for but iv also had a pair before I worked here. Being a tree surgeon (climber) they take a fecking hammering and that's without what they get put through in my spare time. Iv also got altberg warrior I can't fault them either very light and the comfiest boots iv stepped foot in but them haix you don't feel a thing when you step on the shovel or when you put your foot on a fox in the net

Haix boots look and sound good..are they a large or small fitting?

They do a medium or wide ankle/calf fitting. But I can't find anywhere that tells you what the measurement for ankle fitting, plus nowhere near me sells them in which I could try them on so it would have to be a mail order. Bit of a bummer really....FRC

I'm 8 and half in all boots iv tried. Got 8 and half haix then put foam insoles in them. Comfy as feck.

If you do a lot of digging get fell boots but they need a lot of use to break them in, prob better going for lowa boots, mine lasted 2 seasons

Never liked the look of the fell boots... look uncomfy as hell

My lows weren't good, leaked from the start and burst in the end. Wouldn't buy them again. Although I know some lads rate them.
