Qbgrey 4,119 Posted November 28, 2014 Report Share Posted November 28, 2014 hi mate .looks a good dog you got.at 1 year old this time of year.ie.soft ground ,crops not very high,windy dark nights is at your advantage.if you leave it till next year its nearly 2 yrs old and you will be behind give it easy runs so it can catch,mixys about alot now,ideal.like othhers have said dont run it on rabbits it got no chance of catching,a dog of 1yrs old should be out regular,but bieng sensible on the work allowance. it wont learn nout stuck in the kennel 1 Quote Link to post

You won't do any harm holding him back they seem to be bright and keen enough so should pick the game up quickly when they get going properly. Good luck matey.. cheers fuji its been hard holding him back but im not a youngster im a very patient man and you are spot on about sending a child to do an adults work my dog still seems immature at times thats why im still holding him back a bit . martinfish 73 Posted March 2, 2015 Author Report Share Posted March 2, 2015 hello all after a shite december with the dog injured my hand was forced in holding him back a bit a little bit longer.anyway hes had a great last four weeks hes had 8 rabbits 5 on the lamp 3 during the day i know this aint many by some peoples standards but im more than happy so far im going to give him a few more nights on the lamp and a bit of mooching with the terriers 1 Quote Link to post
