Squirrel_Basher 17,100
if that spanner bends to the will of a fox its no good to anyone Edited to say there are enough bolts with a good un without feeding a jacker. By a good un I guess you mean a good digging dog?, afraid to say "if" you've a good digging dog, bolts are few & far between. You lot are so narrow minded its laughable, cowardice this, jacket that, lol #ivasupermultitool What that means mate is that despite using a digging dog there will be bolts .Narrow mindedness is what shapes a tool . Multi tools are found wanting when needed .I've got no problem with the concept of a bolter just don't mix it with a real one .last post lol 1 Quote Link to post
morton 5,368
I would,nt own a terrier unless it was a baying bolter,id never breed from a terrier that had no history of parentage that grafted the same way,it would be worse than useless for the majority of the places I enter a terrier.Digging dogs are just that and walk past an awful lot of places that cannot be dug, fact, what keeper or landowner that wants a problematic pest shifting will be happy to see a terrier owner saying he will have to leave that one be for now,as his terrier is,nt suited on the day.he may as well set a snare or give the job to a mush and his gun.Ill stick to my culls and the opportunity,s that come with them.It was not to long ago that fox working terriermen prized an honest bolting jukel and would never put a litter through a terrier that needed digging to on a regular basis. 1 Quote Link to post
Alimac2 321
A digging dog is as handy as a bolting dog. I'm not knocking anyone that won't entertain a bolter type under there feat, we all know that bolting doesn't test a dog like a dig to it, but that doesn't mean that the "gay little bolter" doesn't have a big role to play in controlling foxes for keepers all over the country. Any way as you say it's been done to death, Atb fella 1 Quote Link to post

moggs 18
Handy to have a bolter in the old levels and nasty rock piles down my way! No point putting a mute dog in there and if the dogs mark it's got to come out some how. I'd happily kennel one next to the dog I dig to! 2 Quote Link to post
Cleanspade 3,322
The lads just asked a question looking for a bolting dog! Not a a cock measuring contest, that you should only keep hard digging dogs! My friend who keepers an estate where all his holes are in big rock crags impossible to dig! He uses a good little bolting bitch to account for many foxes In a season bolting to gun! What would you lads do with you good digging dogs if you had 20 earths in rock crags that were undiggable? Leave them? na they generally have a pal with a couple of handy yappers. or there is always the rifle.and lamp .helps to keep permission for the specialists. also my las word i agree its been done to death and there are two sides to a coin. TC yes id agree, why do people need to test the dog to the extremes, if im going out on a sunday morning for a dig if the dog digs me one im happy cant understand why people bring someone out to show off there terrier, heard one a few monthes back " bring me to the hardest deep sett you know and ill dig my terrier" f***ing fool.. go out and enoy a dig with your terrier, reminds Like prics that buy a staff or a rottweiler to look hard. 2 Quote Link to post
dan john 82
Guy told me down the pub if you use a bolting terrier your too lazy too dig You get told a lot of things need to stop listening to them fools And you should stop judging strangers you have neither met nor spoken too, it's presumptuous and some would say foolish, but carry on. I'll listen to him he sounds more clued up than you Just my opinion as you seem to give yours a lot with all your p***y and scruffy coments Quote Link to post

Maybe they like to keep a good standard of terrier, not a terrier that works a 3ft dig once a wk on a sunday morning, and as for testing a terrier well we cant anymore as its against the law more's the pity. 1 Quote Link to post
