Socks straight forward question If a man irrespective of his race religion or culture comes to live in the uk as a resident legally here or as a citizen he observes the laws pays taxes should he be allowed to follow his own religion cultures and traditions if they are not illegal under British law , a honest answer please

His religion by all means yes .. Cultures and traditions no ... You move to another country you should integrate into that society and not try and bring your own traditions into the country that has welcomed you with open arms .......

And how many of the different traditions and cultures of the enormous numbers of foreigners in this country are against the law ?.....we barely know what many of their traditions are how can we have a law for them !

Dont agree with that myself.....cant tell people you are welcome here but you,ve got to be like us !

Why not ? If they don't like that go somewhere else ... Why should I have to take my motorbike helmet off to go into a bank but a Muslim woman can be fully covered from head to foot ? Why have my kids got to eat halal meat in school even though they are the majority ... Why are Christians in certain work environments told they can't wear a crusafix necklace ... The list is endless ..........

You have just given examples of us changing to suit them not them changing to suit us i thought the question was should they be allowed to follow their own traditions/cultures.

I see it real simple......if i dont like dirty fat smelly people in my home i dont welcome them in......if i do thats my choice but i have to accept they are dirty fat and smelly !

Got to agree with socks ( to a degree) if they want to come over here and follow THERE traditions so be it but to try and force us to follow there traditions is bang out of order. If I moved to Afghanistan and I was Christian (which I'm not) I wouldn't complain that there's no churches.....or go in to a restraunt and kik up a fuss because they wouldn't make me a bacon butty. .....they want wanted to come to this country to better there citiuation/ finance/ and living conditions because there home country wasn't providing for them........but now there trying turn are country in to same as there's......

If islam has been around for so long I'd imagine their has always been Muslims here. How come though its in the more recent years their seems to be a problem? I'd like to think most people just wanna get on with their life's and don't give a shit what others are upto if it ain't affecting them. Thing is the media easily can whip people up and make even those people feel under attack and angry sort of thing.

And rightly so infact I think it shouldn't of been the edl to kick off it should have been the decent Muslims who wanted to nip it in the bud.

No that's the weak pieces of shit that run this country bowing to the traditions of foreigners that want to come and live here ........

The ones WE vote in to make the decision to welcome them here you mean.......every day we subconsciously become more and more tolerant, more and more accepting.....we just cant see it.
