Tiercel 6,986
Of course this could just be subterfuge & propaganda, just some little tit bit to keep people happy, and make the enemy think that they are vulnerable. That said it is totally feasible and perhaps that is why it was leaked? That said, if it was ongoing would they have published it? TC

3175darren 1,100
Top lads doing a good job, good to read but, better keep the press out of it and let them get on with the good work. The MoD liaise with media/propaganda experts to release stuff like this. It's all part of the greater strategic picture. Put the fear of god into would be jihadists and give the British public a morale boost. Since the embassy the SAS have been used as a psychological tool as much as a combat one. The SBS on the other hand are played down and allowed lesser media attention. We all knew they were out there hunting... its just now that the government have decided the right time to slip a few details. I know there's a bigger picture to it all as regards propaganda, and its one I know nowt about, them lads are doing a valuable role for us all, if them nutjacks are left to cut peoples heads off and rule by brutal force, and indoctrinate every one else's kids to do the same, we are all vulnerable, and I think our general public are seeing this now, and that's why a few of them idiots, and I mean idiots that went to fight for them, are trying to run back shitting them selves. But lets not have the lads from either regiment handicapped, in any way,it is unfortunate that they fight sometimes a solitary fight, which in my opinion goes hugely unrewarded,I think this governments stance on this subject is right maybe a little tamer then I would be,and the fact they slip a few details is good, but the fact they slip the best trained dogs in the world for the right reason is better,

A line I thought was good from the series the wire when talking about the war on drugs. You can't call it a war...wars end.

A line I thought was good from the series the wire when talking about the war on drugs. You can't call it a war...wars end. no, its a downward path all these be-headings and atrocities are an attempt to drag in the west so a jihad can be called worldwide, this is why the west has to fight isis using the Kurds and other Muslims,
desertbred 5,490
This is not jihad it is terrorism by Isis and its supporters this is why Muslims are fighting against them, if it was jihad then no Muslim would fight against a true jihad. These groups are being funded by organisations that have vested interests in arms supply, oil supplies it is the politics of capitalist society that began with the cold war between America and Russia hence the invasion of Afghanistan by the Russians the funding of the mujahedeen by America then on the disintegration of the USSR America dumped private well armed armies controlled by war lords and drug dealers and their progression into Taliban , Al Quaida etc and now these groups have formed an alliance under the name of isis, these atrocities that are being carried out have sweet fa to do with Islam it is a criminal enterprise to gain power and wealth by terrorising people irrespective of race creed colour or religion Edited November 24, 2014 by desertbred

desertbred 5,490
the only way this isis will be defeated is by allowing Muslims to fight them not western troops , When the Kurds and the Marsh arabs in Iraq had an uprising against Sadam in the 90,s America stirred this then lefT the Marsh arabs who were shia and the Kurds without weapons and this led to hundreds of thousands being gassed in Iraq. Its easy to see why trust is in short supply when you look at the recent history of the last 70 years in the middle east. Youth are being brainwashed because of a lack of direction why because when they see no future in front of them and not just Muslim youth I am talking of youth in general they are being pissed on around the world by various political regimes and when they get radical then the politicians start looking to apportion blame, the Joe or Abdul bloggs are the ones who pay the price, not the fuckers who light and stoke the fires Edited November 24, 2014 by desertbred
