Anyone Shoot Parakeets

Anyone on here shoot parakeets, where I am they are very common (Berkshire). Not uncommon to see a flock of a hundred plus. A friend of mine mate shoots and eats eats them. can be challenging shot as they fly high and fast.

Parakeets are becoming a pest decimating fruit and seed crops including grapevines heartbreaking for british vinyards. get a few hundred roosting and the racket is deafening!

they might look nice and a bit different but im on landowners side if there destroying crops -shoot them -we dont have many up here so i leave them alone -billy

They also nick nesting sites from Owls,i might be wrong but wasn't there some sort of bounty on them in the 70's/early 80's,about half a quid for every one shot ?

Depends on the farmer,some like them,fruit growers don't,tend to get most when pigeon shooting.
