brucemyster 75
strange how in this country things work, I'm not racist or homophobic but you can have a "Black pride day / rally" and a "Gay pride day /rally" but what uproar there would be if we had a "white, British and proud to be straight day" and it's the same with the race question, we're so scared of offending the human rights brigade that we don't even enforce our own rules, regulations, laws and in this case, school curriculum. We are a multi cultural society, more so than most places, but I think in the future as a country we will lose our social identity

We are a multi cultural society, more so than most places, but I think in the future as a country we will lose our social identity We do have demo's like that, mate - and with surprising regularity. The problem is that they get disrupted by the soppy antifa tw4ts, or broken up by the police. Freedom of speech in Britain used to be along the lines of 'you can say what you like, as long as it's true, or you can make a good case'. These days, it amounts to 'you can say what you like, as long as no-one disagrees with you'. All they have to do is utter are the all-powerful words - "I'm offended by that", and any vestige of common sense or reasoned argument is expected to tip-toe quietly away.
