The double merle just means they carry a merle gene from both parents,if they are unhealthy it is down to chance ,possible to be deaf and have

Under developed eyes. ,but not every time,but if one parent carried a lot of white the could be an ordinary merle that is pied

pied is that jest black and white or like that one pup in my first puppy pics roy

I think it all depends on the land you hunt and what else you might hunt too , the land you hunt is a challenge for any dog and you break them , plenty of bone not too fast and able to take the knock

If it was me and i had access to a none merle bitch out of the same stock id be lining her wih the merle , if there wasnt a none merle available id be doing the merle x merle and be prepared to cull hard

I would leave the bull out of it tbo but that's just me lol I've a saluki x gray collie x whippet 21tts 17 month old running flat, rough, up hill down hill he seems happy to run any as he adjustes to different conditions pritty well , and had some good high numbers on his own to date and that's mainly rough ground

myself loydy i would use a good saluki collie grey or failing that a coursing hound collie grey or like ,run any ground have the brain to run sensible ,in rough parts run scotland used collie types xes salukis over thirty yrs back and these types out performed out else back then atb bunnys.

i have two off this cross and thay only have a tuch of bull in them and thay are both layed up but i still get a few with the three legged one

iv jest been out with my pup still to young for any thing much but he had a hand full of runs and got his first and last rabbits hes not out of my stuff he was bred by roybo off here i hope hes going to be a good bunny dog in a years time
