Paid for my shopping on my card it cost 22.50. the next day i realised my card was missing. i went online straight away and looked at my statement. I knew the last time i had my card was aldi. Turns out that day 3 transactions went out to aldi my 22.50 then 12.60 the 2.. Straight away cancelled my card then rung aldi and this is what the manager told me after i explained the situation. Both transaction after mine were made after hours and he would check cameras and get back to me. 20 mins later i got a call and he said. i can see your card in the machine after you left but the cameras are crap and i cant see who takes it. Its there 1 second the next its gone. And when the next transactions were made he still had customers in (after telling me the store should be closed) Straight up he offered me a refund and 10 quid compo. i then asked him if he had spoke to the lad on the till and he said no so i told him for now he should get in contact with him and try get to the bottom of it while i get a better opinion of what i should do. Tiercel 6,986 Posted November 20, 2014 Report Share Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) I believe all Aldi stores are now open till 10 pm, ours is. You really do need to report it to the police. As your bank will not accept a claim without it being reported. If you can get a crime number all the better. It sounds to me as if the manager is covering up for the lad on the till, or himself?
