Charity starts at home. Plenty of children here sick in hospitals where the money from band aid could go. Does the money even get to the people? I mean ffs how much is been put into Africa? i have a problem giving money to the third world, for many years charities such as oxfam (long before geldof got his nose in the trough) were helping the africans, so now we have many more mouths to feed over there and yet they are no nearer to feeding themselves. these barren lands can only support a finite amount of human life, and even when they have wiped out all the wildlife and rainforests and farmed the whole continent in their primitive fashion, we will still be feeding the surplus of them. with better survival rates, they need to take responsibility for birth control, otherwise we should leave them to take their chances.

While I agree with your way of thinking, I don't think the world would let Africa get rich. I doubt its because the world hates black people its simply about money. Not too clued up on the bill gates thing so can't comment on that. Wouldn't it be a good idea though to do something like on that program what was on the tele. Stop them being able to have kids. Its not that they hate just blacks Fraz, they hate and look down on all of us, were a commodity, but a load of uneducated blacks are easier to swindle out of the resources, but its probably just a "conspiracy theory" mate lol.

IMO they would do much better showing adverts of where the money already donated has been put to good use,

 

Show me the clean water wells pumping water to hundreds of villages, show me the fields of crops growing where irrigation has been effective to feed villages, show me the fishing boats etc. I truly think the adverts showing dying children in the arms of a half naked woman has a negative effect as people just think it doesn't make a difference what they donate it doesn't do any good.

 

I do recognise that this is different as Ebola could reach our shores it's not a starvation issue so we may all be thankful in the end that people buy this record to raise money to fight it whatever your opinion of Bono and Geldof

Don't beleave geldofs scare tactics! Ebola isn't going to wipe out the human race and if it did reach these shores it wouldn't go anywhere! The route cause of Ebola is poor hygiene and poor sanitation, something we don't have a problem with over here!

Ebola... I remember that...... that was the virus that was going to wipe out the world last month. The one everybody was raving about and prepping to run for the hills from because the men in suits were secretly creating a pandemic to reduce the worlds population....... yeah I remember.
