Wellies Or Boots?

Just wore out my boots; haven't owned a set of wellies since I was a kid.... Before I replace my boots; I thought I'd ask people which they prefer and why?

Wellies if I had to choose. Not great on the ankles if your permissions involve steep hills. I'll take the boots if it looks dry outside.

I wear my work issue steel toe wellies for all my hunting mainly because I would wreck boots in no time and these are free.
