Led Lamps

Recommended Posts

Ok lads n lasses it's been in the topics a bit lately about led lamps who has one how good are they so on and so on , so I decided to get one of ebay but been the i will try anything type I bought two lol the first one is a buffalo river rechargeable type built in lithium battery (on charge as I Wright this ) second is the same but with a lead lol. I couldn't wait for them to be posted so collected them on my way home from work today the man is a nice honest block he's a hunter seems true to his word,I ask him if he had heard of the THL and he said no so I introduced him and he seems keen to sign up (better for us ) any way he deals in all sorts and reckons he can get 4 amp lithium batterys for around £30.

I was going to try them tonight but it's rather foggy where I'am so the test will have to wait till Saturday night I will put some photos up in a bit

The rechargeable one is k if you can get used the white light but the length of the beam is not the same as a light force but it does a night on bunnys handy too fit in a poachers pocket as well and last a good 6 hours lamping and are lighter then the light force lamps but there good value for what they are

I haven't long bought a tracer 150 led. Went for the rechargeable as wires were pissing me off. A lot of people mentioned the colour of the light when I asked around about them. But tbh I find the led better than a halogen, I'm colour blind and I seem tovbe able to spot a lot more with my lamp than my with my mates 140. The battery in mine is a 3.7v lithium ion that claims to last 2.5 hours constant run time. I have been out with it a few times now and have yet to run the battery flat. The beam is nice and tight, unfortunately it isn't adjustable on this lamp, but I like It as it is. One thing I will say is were a normal lamp seems to fade out over a distance the led seems to reach its limit and stop dead like a clear line where it stops.

I have been out with mine tonight. Went out at 8 and just got back and battery is still going. It's great to leave on the dash and have a quick scan over gates from the car.

My opinion is, if your thinking about getting one, just do it. Glad I got mine and only 70 quid with a filter.

The main difference is the colour of the critters eye reflections.. for example..bunnies burn white...and not Red.

Not sure if this effects the dogs vision..but it can be confusing for us when things are out on the end of beam and there's more than 1 Critter on the field etc etc.Hares look the same a bunnies... sheeep/deer ? tricky.
