diamonddan 1 Posted November 14, 2014 Report Share Posted November 14, 2014 Hi there all I wonder if anyone can help me I have a 14 month old patterdale day all he wants to do is hunt when hi is in home he comes as soon as I call him but when out hunting it seems that you have cut off his ears and don't recall I end up chasing him to get him back all he wants to do is hunt anyone know any tips to get him to recall thanks Quote Link to post

His desire to get in the nearest hole is far greater then his desire to listen to me shouting and screaming. And I wouldnt want him any other way. Once they go to ground mate your asking for trouble leaving him running loose. Quote Link to post

So really really really making a fuss of him when he finally comes back, ignore him when he doesn't, walk away and hide.
