Got a book here by Kenneth cassells about working deerhounds well worth a read if you can get your hands on it

Very rarely for sale and a bit pricey when it is. I'd love to read it myself if anyone would sell a copy?

Thanks for posting what you did Krawnden. I used to have a sunday magazine supplement from the 80s with a feature on the joint meets. The photos were pretty good if I remember rightly but I've looked all over and can't find it.

I don't remember ever seeing anything in the mainstream press Maximus. Would love to hear about it if you do manage to find it. The Field ran a piece on deerhounds about 15 years back and the cover carried a photo of Seamus Caine sitting in a boat with two of his ('Killoeter') hounds on the shore of a loch. I think i'm right in saying there was only one fairly small print run so there just aren't many copies out there. I got mine straight from Kenneth and I'm afraid it's not for sale
