Anybody do anything to make money in thier soare time? And if so what. Im looking to earn a little bit on the side in the evenings that i am not at work purse net making maybe or anything really anybody got any ideas

Dear Mr Tax man, this is how I make some cash on the side without declaring it.

If your paying 40% tax your earning more than 32,000. and you still need a part time job?

I have two kids a wife and two cars on the go any extra money is a bonus oh yeah and the 1500 mortgage

Actually TC, that's just after income tax. Add to that NI and any other deductions and it's less still.....

 

It's a f***ing outrageous tax rate imo. But you still have to have a fair idea for a 'second income' to make it worth spending your extra time doing that than doing overtime at 40% tax. Most the time it'd be more economical to just pay the tax on the much better hourly wage.

Not much money in making purse nets mate, unless you can knock 5-6 out in an hour? Takes me 2hrs to make one at best! Sell for £2.50= £1.25ph?????

its actualy only 31000 now we enquired about it it changed at the start of the this tax year. It doesnt have to be purse nets that was a suggestion to get the ball rolling
