buster gonads 862
Maybe have a think about what your GH bitch lacks for the type of work you would want the pups for, brain, coat, better feet possibly, it shouldnt lack speed thats for sure, i had a small GH bitch gifted me from some Whippet raceing lads that had used her to increase the height of their dogs back in the 80's, i didnt use her in the end as she was the thickest thing i,v ever seen on four legs. Gaz_1989 9,539
If you are happy with her and don't need to "iron out any faults" so to speak then why not just use a good working lurcher who is doing the jobs you do and don't worry about breeds too much? 2 Quote Link to post
Silversnake 1,099
You have so many options with a bitch like that, but as has been said I would use a good lurcher that does the job, my preference would be something with a bit of kelpie. 1 Quote Link to post
shaaark 10,907
Just a suggestion, seeing that she's not too big and is already a useful worker etc, with the amount of greyhounds that you irish lads have over there, couldn't you try to find a smaller size greyhound dog with similar qualities to your bitch and use that to cover her and keep back a couple of pups to run on as you would a lurcher? Probably take you a while I know, but could be well worth the wait Quote Link to post
Chid 6,586
Is this the same greyhound you put the saluki over last year? How are they getting on ? Quote Link to post
