jeppi26 1,855
Myxomatosis is caused by the myxoma virus, a poxvirus spread between rabbits by close contact and biting insects such as fleas and mosquitoes.

How else does it spread Two questions mate, 1, Have you seen any strange coloured rabbits? 2, any railway lines on or near the land? Not to the strange coloured rabbits and only one of the three places im thinking of has a railway nearby what is the significance of the train We had some strange orangey/yellow rabbits appear a few years back, then a bad outbreak of myxi, the rabbits appeared in different locations in the same year, and no way the coloured rabbits spread naturally, been hunting the land 40 years and never seen that colour before, i mentioned this only last week to a mate, he reckons its the railway spreading them to stop rabbits undermining the railway banks? no proof like, but i wouldn't be surprised? A mate from near Reading said they had the same coloured rabbits appear and then myxi, he'd never seen them before either, something stinks mate.
