ratbuster 808
Never knew how big the efforts were the British and all their Allies got through in WW1. Impressive! Still thankful for all British, Irish, Polish, Canadian and American soldiers ( and those i forgot) who gave their young lives in WW2, so I can have my FREEDOM. Deep respect on my side for everybody who gave his or hers to save mine ! In Remembrance

Truther 1,579
I always feel torn on remembrance day, very very humbled by the sacrifices made by my family and so many others from around the world, and angry beyond words at how our leaders have just brushed it aside and given what they died for away. Ill never forget. RIP.

mushroom 13,325
I'm onboard a ferry and very happy to see the silence observed, all staff were ordered to turn of all radios and even the non Brits (Dutch ) were silent but didn't stand
desertbred 5,490
Rememberance day belongs to the whole world and humanity, people sacrifice for justice and freedom, wars and conflicts large or small leave bereavement , invalidity and trauma for all sides. The two world wars were supposed to be the wars to end all wars have we learnt from the sacrifices made? May your god give peace and comfort to those who died and those affected by conflicts many of whom don't want to be involved Rip the lads in uniform Amen
