Walney Island Tonight

Recommended Posts

No camper tonight mate coz I'm supposed to be up early for beating tomorrow/today lol it was ALOT rougher than I expected, biggest leads I had were 8oz and within 5 mins of casting out it was on the shingle 150yrds further down, weed was a bitch and then the rain started. So just got home, going to have a beer and then try and sneak in to bed without waking the dragon ;) big fat blank for me unfortunately tonight

Most lads are fishing low water till 2 hours after , tides are dropping off now so should be better this week, you use crab? They be gone again soon the fish, there was a comp a few week ago, 78 codling weighed in and won with 2 bass, think that was between 17 folk fishing

At the minute, the channel is fishing best, crab from low water up a few hours, there has been some big bass pulled out up the coast, 12-13lb + , and a few off them too! again crab is catching them. Tides are dropping this week, and low water is perfect for a dark flood. Most lads are catching between 3-6 codling a tide in channel, average 2lb but have heard of a 6lb comin out

im going to give it a go tomorrow night baz, ill let you know how we get on

Low water 11pm tomorrow night, rising tides, could be good first of the flood. Just try and keep away from any source of fresh water if possible, with all the rain the last few days it will drive the fish into more saline water.

Yeah got frozen peeler in the freezer, and I'm off to the tackle shop now to buy some more lol, I'm treating myself to proper bait pump since my home made one fecked up, so I'm only going for a pumping practice ;) don't think I do know your mate baz? Where's he from? I might know him to talk to

Cheers baz, no I didn't bother in the end as I've got a home made one, it's a bit crap but does the job so I bought a lead mold instead lol and I was a but annoyed they didn't have any crab! So I think I've got a half dozen frozen peelers and some frozen black to last me the night. So I've just been tesco and bought some mackerel and squid to spread it out. Set of in half hour ;)
