duane87 11
I have tried getting in cover but she to interested in stoping by me .even with a working bitch she doesn't really wanna go in she pops her head in then just come back out any advice would be appreciated thanks Quote Link to post
Casso 1,261
Has she come across any game yet in cover? Dogs link chains of events and objects together to form a full picture in hunting At the minute the cover is offering too much resistance for her and not enough benefit It's got to be worth her while to dive in , if she s coming across too many exciting smells and scents on the outside , she figures it's hardly worth it , Walk on lead and only let her in , where you see something going in to cover , it's either shit or bust then , Quote Link to post

Mochastorm 68
Have you tried the gradual approach. If she is keen for the dummy place it in light cover such as long grass, then move on to thicker cover such as ivy, and so on. It maybe she has been injured or hurt by nettles/thorns when younger and has an aversion. These are just suggestions. Are there any professional trainers nearby available for private lessons, I'm sure they would be able to assist, and always handy to polish up on your own training. Quote Link to post
