leeren666 10
Does anyone have or can anyone suggest a cheap(ish) air pistol or rifle to finish off the rats I have trapped in my garden, they will only be shot from point blank, or if I can get a cheap enough rifle, maybe 10 yards at the most, I'm in Stanley area but will travel for the right price, Thanks Quote Link to post

leeren666 10
Just a little update on this, picked the gun up a few weeks back, very friendly and helpful, and a very generous offer too, it fulfilled its duties amicably and took a couple of rats the day after pick up no problem, but me being the type of person that can't leave anything alone I started looking on YouTube at these little rifles, the crosman 2260 rabbit stopper, and decided to tart it up a bit, total strip down, shortened and re crowned barrel done by myself, shortened and painted the stock too whilst I was on, added a steel breech, which was the only outlay, everything else was done in my garage and parts were obtained via the engineering dept at work, polished barrel and tube, modified piston for higher capacity, replaced all seals, made a new transfer port from brass and silicon tube, and made a power adjuster too. Next is some work on the trigger so you don't have to use 2hands to squeeze it, it has definitely been a good little project Quite pleased with the results, seems I am getting the bug once again and already looking at maybe buying a bsa ultra as a next step, although I was brought up on spring rifles, and may go back down that route, so thanks again to jjm for supplying me with a little project and as he said when I picked it up, 'you'll end up getting another one' I think you were right mate Edited December 3, 2014 by leeren666 4 Quote Link to post

leeren666 10
It's definitely not for sale ! If anything, when I get my next gun I will do the same and pass it on to someone in need, it just wouldn't be right to take advantage of the kindness someone showed me, Unless anyone wants a swap for a tx200 or bsa ultra lol 1 Quote Link to post
