slip lead 862
The fella isn't bull###ting about wires and fishing line, I seen it myself before the ban. The same was said about salukis in the early 80'es, by deerhound/collie coursers how many of them (deer hound crosses) are about today on the fens. So I will save my judgement until I've seen one WORK. Happy Hunting with what ever dog you choose to run Quote Link to post

beast 1,884
i saw a couple of borzoi x greyhounds about 25 years ago, tall (30tts) very narrow fronted and as a result very unbalanced, reasonably quick in a straight line but turned awfully, half the time they would go over if they tried to turn at speed. thick as pigshit, and not particularly nice natured either. i would run a pure grey ahead of one of these, absolutely streets ahead. dont see any benefit from adding this blood to a working dog Quote Link to post
desertbred 5,490
These Silkens are what they are , the only way to test a supposed working line is to get it out on the land behind some game and see how it performs. Personally I feel that the existing lines of running dogs are more than adequate for doing what is needed, not to say lines cannot be improved but not by these this is just my opinion. If some one is intent on introducing new blood lines or combinations this is a lifelong job and one that you don't undertake lightly breed a few generations low key test them and test them some more then show them to the world if they make the grade to many experimental lines around and pounds full of all kinds of dogs that should never have been bred. 2 Quote Link to post
