How deep?

!0 foot by myself as my phone had no signal for help.The FMWTC have done some big digs over the years.

What is the deepest you've ever had to dig for your dog? This past weekend we almost had to do a 10 footer through hard clay. That would have been loads of fun Probably would have wanted to turn the hole into a root cellar. The dog came out after we got down about 2 feet. What kind of soil where you digging in? I'm just getting started in the world of digging so I have nothing impressive to report

Curious, was the terrier white in colour and bred by Eddie Chapman or David Jones and is he/she now with the Angels?

ended up at about 16' thats the deepest ive been it wasnt hard digging with it being sand.

No the dogs is not with the Angels. It would appear it was after a groundhog and couldn't get in far enough as the hog was digging away. Those hogs can fit through some might small holes. If the head fits, etc. By the way, not my dog. No problem with the dog though.

i guess if your out working the terriers regular, your bound to come accross a deep one every now and then, and if the dogs any good it will have to be dug to, if not it's always better to dig a shallow hole afterwards and put the f****r in it .

About how deep

a easy dig could be seven foot in light soil or sand.

a hard dig could be two foot through rock and stone,

the two foot dig could take longer two

 

time under ground, thats all that matters

9 foot and took about 5 hours with 3 men...

 

The quarry was accounted for.

 

7 foot last year through concrete rubble on a hillside and we didn't get the groundhog but got the dog.
