He is a big feller! I'v had a few big uns with the air rifle myself, all came from the same copse and didn't seem to have a food source advantage? Never measured them though. Atb.

See a few big ones at work there into all the buckets, there made of plastic now and every ones chewed threw they never seem to hibernate now as we see them almost daily ?

Squirrels adapting by not hibernating you mean?

I agree with the other lads on here, I don’t think they ever did hibernate – just slow down a bit in the cold – from what I’ve seen myself (that’s the biggest squirrel I think I’ve ever seen, by the way).

That’s grey ones I’m talking about, I wouldn’t know about the red ones hibernating or not.

I agree with the other lads on here, I dont think they ever did hibernate just slow down a bit in the cold from what Ive seen myself (thats the biggest squirrel I think Ive ever seen, by the way).

Yes! Squirrels are not hibernating, because they don't hibernate. I assumed that would be common knowledge on a trapping forum ?
