Onlyworkmatters 1,584
Yes, but it suits the type of hunting the boys are doing with them Quote Link to post
Lamper#2 17
It's big fields with small pockets of wood were I hunt so it will be fine either way, was wondering more about the pace of them? Quote Link to post

white van man 3,370
Wouldn't say experience but I have seen one work a few times. Not sure of its complete make up but think along the lines of collie grey/foxhound grey but you could see the foxhound in her. The dog looked quite racey and woul say about 26". Seen it lamp a few times and it caught....if it didn't then it always would hunt up but that can be a fault in any dog. It was used mainly for daytime anyway pre ban and worked well with the terriers especially if something was flushed. How racey was the bull x used? as this could also add to it being a heavy dog? zigzag dan 784
I had a 1/4 bull x 1/4 foxhound greyhound , 26 tts , coat like a wire brush , head like a bucket , immense jaw power , he never hunted up on lamp ., was hard as nails , if I could have one dog back it would be him , caught anything from rabbits to stags , never seen a dog with such little emotion , he would just shake it once , drop it and walk away ! 5 Quote Link to post
