Don't try for too distant a shot,there is a lot less lead fired than a 12 bore. My .410 is a tightly choked O/U,and will take 3" shells. The longest shot I have taken was a (successful) 40 yard rabbit.I would probably use 2" or 2 1/2" for pheasant with #6 shot. Quote Link to post
