matt1979 766
I would be very careful massaging any dog this close to any bruising/ internal injury occurring as more harm than good can be done at this at stage. Few week down the line sure this would be of use though atb. Quote Link to post
Irishhunter14 89
Never message bruising as can push blood clots around the body and into heart Quote Link to post
sandymere 8,263
I'd agree don't massage as it will just add to the pain at the mo, few days maybe. Hopefully it shouldn't develop a deep vein thrombosis which is a blood clot that can travel through the heart and then to the lungs, Pulmonary embolism. Normal bruising is in the muscles and under the skin and as such will not travel other than leaching down muscle fascia etc. Anti inflammatory meds, rest then gentle exercise as soon as it can, reduce anti inflammatorys appropriately after a few days to encourage healing. Hopefully recover well 2 Quote Link to post
