Those Withs are cracking little boats, will plane with a small motor, and despite being mono hull the reverse chimes make it stable on the water.

 

You got me hankering after another boat to do for the summer next year.

in my opinion, for that price you could get much better second hand. You will need to add an engine to that, which could be anything from £150 to £1500 or more depending what you want. For the money boat costs, you could get a "tow and go" package. But again what kind of sea fishing will you be doing? How far out do you want to go, and in what kind of weather? If your after a fishing boat, there's much better for less money (when you've got all the kit together)

Just noticed, are you on about inland? In any case you can find better cheaper. But it all depends what your willing to spend and what you want it for.

That sold for £1500 without an engine. We didn't make a lot on that as it was in a worse state than we first thought lol

A mate of mine has a boat the same but better inside and with a decent 4stroke engine on preloved for £2250 it need a bit of work on the canopy but apart that it's a bargain, and he'd probably rip your arm of for 2k tbh he's only had it a few months but decided boating wasn't for him

I have a small rowing boat/tender about 11 foot long and had this yeoman cougar I would like to do a bit of sea fishing not too far out just to get the feel and taste for it but really what ever will be safe for me and the boat I would prefer a smaller boat so it could be managed better by myself or just two but would prefer some weather protection too.

I did think about the fun yak as the rib types seem to be taken out in pritty bad seas for there size (not that it would be my intention) but with its construction be safe to fish off too.

I did see a nice bonwitcho type in cornwall cheap but the travelling put me off was on pre loved / gumtree but seemed like a bargain

What's your tender like? Could you not put an outboard on and use that? The funyak looks perfectly capable but at only 12ft what are you really gaining over your tender?

The tender has a outboard I was just fancying something different and for its size the fun yak has a much higher carrying capacity and hopefully a little more stable.

I have never seen one of those before, looks a well built boat. I like the glassed in ribs on the hull, it looks about 17' nice size although I would prefer a little more beam, even 6" would make a difference. It looks like a modernised Wilson flyer without a fore deck, going by the shape of the hull at the stern. I notice none of the dory's shown have donkeys do you not fit them? I would not go out in a dory without donkeys. Cracking engine though and that is the main part of the boat, without it a boat is just a hole in the water that you pour money in to.

its a seahog cmmadore half cathedral hull 17 and A half foot and its not a glass hull just a anti slip paint had a older boat was fed up fixing different things spent more time working on it so bought this 2008 hardly used it can be great fun go out in the sound of jura on it can be pretty hairy tides can be fierce
