bobkizzyhugo 40
This is the first litter I have ever had. Not something I wanted, not something I have ever been interested in doing. The bitch is 6 and has only broken down 3 times prior to this. I had decided that they would be culled but never having undertaken such a task before I am struggling to take them off her. I have offered them to thl users, which tbh was a decision not taken lightly given the amount of shitty posts I was expecting. The offers there to any takers 5 have been spoken for which is good enough for me. 2 Quote Link to post
morton 5,368
I carnt see why hes being slated they will make good bushing /ferreting dogs,,, No they won,t,they will make second rate jukels if we are to be honest, there are far better options available without the need to source mutts bred from accidental matings. If the pups are taken on and utilised by somebody with lesser intention, then fair play and good on the pups, yet lets not masquerade under the notion that these pups are anything but what they are, second rate.Ill take my hat off to anybody that is the salvation of one,yet sympathy is the realm of the romantic fantasist. 2 Quote Link to post
delswal 3,819
No, they won't ? So what you're saying is a lurcher cross terrier will not make a good bushing dog? Bet I can prove you wrong a dozen times over. In fairness to the lad he held his hands up and said he cannot cull, maybe if he could he would have, I know of some hardened dog men who still to this day cannot cull pups. Now on a more serious note your right Morton, culling would have been the best solution, but not everybody knows somebody who would or could cull a litter of pups. Quote Link to post

I do a little bushing, seriously pups bred this way are not what a bushing afficienado is looking for, even after the attempt to prove me wrong more than a dozen times over, ive bushed a tad longer and harder than that. The art of the cull is a thankless task, horrendous, heartless and so fecking saddening, yet is the task at hand that some of us take as requisite at times, even though it may sicken us to the depths of our souls, the test of a true dogman/woman at times, thankless. 1 Quote Link to post
