mark williams 7,550
Years ago i went to an "open" shoot (shotgun, clay pigeon) and when my turn came i got out my old Zabali ( side by side) shotgun,- a non ejector box lock . Well all the tweed suits started laughing openly at me - lads i was skint, no work at the time 1984 miners strike was in full swing. I quietly shouted "pull" (several times) and got a full card of 30/30. You could have heard a pin drop, and the silence was so deafening i put the old box lock away and said nothing. I won that cup, it is on my window sill for all to see, i still use the gun to deadly effect controlling pests on the farms, and the club asked me to shoot for them, which i did. The lesson was tweed suits and insults dont make a good shot. atb Edited November 12, 2014 by mark williams 1 Quote Link to post
